Natives of the following countries are not eligible to apply in DV-2020 because these countries have sent more than 50,000 immigrants to the U.S. in the previous five years: Bangladesh, Brazil, Canada, China (mainland-born), Colombia, Dominican Republic, El Salvador, Haiti, India, Jamaica, Mexico, Pakistan, Peru, Philippines, South Korea, United Kingdom (except Northern Ireland) and its dependent territories, and Vietnam.
Requirements to Apply for Visa Lottery
Know that for you to qualify for American DV-2021 Green Card Lottery/USA Visa Lottery, you must be a foreign citizen or national not born in the United States of America, from a country with a low immigration rate to the United States.
Requirement #1: Individuals born in countries whose natives qualify may be eligible to enter.
If you were not born in an eligible country, there are two other ways you might be able to qualify.
as your spouse born in a country whose natives are eligible? If yes, you can claim your
spouse’s country of birth – provided that both you and your spouse are named on the selected
entry, are found eligible and issued diversity visas, and enter the United States simultaneously.
Were you born in a country whose natives are ineligible, but in which neither of your parents
was born or legally resident at the time of your birth? If yes, you may claim the country of birth
of one of your parents if it is a country whose natives are eligible for the DV-2021 program. For

ENTRY PHOTOGRAPH(S) – Recent photographs of yourself ( if married, get for your spouse and all unmarried children under 21 years of age, if applicable). The photograph must be an individual photograph.
WHAT IS THE HIGHEST LEVEL OF EDUCATION YOU HAVE ACHIEVED– you can include your educational qualifications.
COUNTRY OF ELIGIBILITY– In most cases, it is the country of your birth.

Applications for the DV lottery are accepted until November 6, 2020 and the lottery draw will be held on March 1, 2021 and the winners will be published on May 5, 2021 on . Winners of this years lottery will have to submit immigration forms and attend an interview after May 5, 2021.
