Facebook Messenger App Gets A Secret ‘dark mode’ – See How To Manage It

The long awaiting feature has finally arrived .  We all knew it was coming and now all Facebook messenger users can now access and manage it .  To be honest with viewers , We knew it was coming, then now  all users can finally manage  the long-awaited ‘dark mode’ in Facebook’s Messenger app for Android and iOS, with the feature arriving as a fun Easter egg for those who follow a few simple guide, as noted on Reddit.

Facebook Messenger App gets a Dark Mode was announce last year and since then people have been seriously waiting and to see how to manage it with their mobile device .

The Dark mode turns the background of your chats black, and the keyboard and chat bubbles grey and blue, so that there’s not so much bright light shining into your eyes.  Best way is to adapt and know to manage it when it comes .

Facebook Messenger’s dark mode was made available to select users in certain countries late last year as part of the feature’s early testing phase. Now, it’s available to everyone who has the latest version of the app installed on their devices.

For all users to activate dark mode, make sure your Messenger app is up to date, then open a chat window and send the crescent moon emoji to one of your contacts.   It might take a few attempts before anything happens.   Some users report having to tap the moon emoji in the chat after you’ve sent it.

Eventually, moon emojis will rain down from the top of the screen, and a message will appear stating: “You’ve found dark mode!” with a prompt to “Try it in Settings”.

How To Manage Facebook Messenger App  ‘dark mode’

Better know for users to unlock dark mode in Messenger.

First –   They must first send a message to someone you know (or even yourself) that consists solely of a crescent-shaped moon emoji (the one that looks like this: ☽).  These is first step to follow and easiest way too .

Secondary –  Once you’ve done that, several moon emoji will rain down over your conversation screen, letting you know that the feature has been unlocked and can be toggled on or off within the app’s settings menu.

Some users have reported instances of a pop-up window that will inform you of the new feature, though that didn’t happen in our experience. If you do receive the pop-up without the raining emoji, double-tap the message or restart the app.
